Do I need any prior knowledge with respect to the content of each module?

No prior knowledge or understanding of digital assets, technology, finance or artificial intelligence is required. All abilities are catered for!

What is the capacity of the course?

The capacity of the course will be determined shortly. The earlier you apply, the more likely you will be to secure a place.

Who is eligible to apply?

Eligible students are defined as those beginning Year 12 or Year 13 at Hasmonean High School for Boys and Hasmonean High School or Girls in September 2023.

What is the admittance policy?

Applicants will be admitted subject to the behavioural policy and BOTH of the following criteria being adhered to:

  • Applying before the deadline of September 30th
  • Applying before the maximum capacity of the programme has been reached

There will be no guarantee of admittance if a student applies after the deadline, or after the maximum capacity has been reached, whichever is sooner.

What happens if I apply after the capacity or deadline has been reached?

If you apply after the deadline or the capacity has been reached, your application will be placed on a waiting list and we will update you if we are able to accommodate at the discretion of the programme's director. 

Will I need to do any preparation before attending the course?

No preparation is necessary to attend and benefit from this course.

What is the behavioural policy?

This course is a privilege. 

It has only been made possible by the generosity of an alumnus of Hasmonean and the tireless dedication of the program’s directors.

Given there will be several external guest speakers in attendance, Hasmonean reserves the right to prohibit attendance, or withdraw attendance without prior notice, to any student whose behaviour is not in line with our behavioural policies or any student we feel does not represent the school in a positive light. This will be the school’s final decision.

Will I be set assignments after each module?

No assignments will be set after each module. 

What happens at the end of the programme?

Students may submit a one-page business plan or summary of how the content within the various modules may impact their careers. The course administrators will mark the submissions.

The top three students will be invited to give a short presentation to a panel, which will select a winner. 

A prize will be offered to the winner. 

All submissions are strictly optional! 

All attendees will receive an attendance certificate that can be included within their LinkedIn profile. This is subject to attending all three modules.  

What will I learn each week?

A guest speaker will be invited to deliver each module, covering the three topics outlined. 

They will be informative, fun, and participation is encouraged.

When and where will the modules take place?

Each module will cover content relating to a specific topic. Guest speakers will be in attendance to provide a broader context.  The timings of the modules can be found on the Calendar page.

All modules will take place at the Boy's school. The boys and girls will attend separately. Students will need to make their own arrangements for travelling to and from the venue.

Start times will be as close to the end of the school day as possible. Each module will last around 60 minutes. 

Start times for boys and girls will be communicated to successful participants in the weeks before the programme starts. 

Will I get extra UCAS points for attending this course?

You won’t gain UCAS points, however you can add your attendance to your CV, and paste a copy of your attendance certificate to your LinkedIn page.  

Is this course only suitable if I want to study or work in technology, finance, AI or digital assets?

Regardless of whether you intend to pursue a career in these areas, the knowledge you will gain will be helpful in many spheres and in your general understanding of how these areas are being adopted in many mainstream fields. 

Is there a fee to join the course?

As this course has been generously sponsored, HDigital Ted Talks are free for all successful applicants. 

Will I be able to use this course as the basis for further study?

Yes. Following this course, you are welcome to sign up to any online additional courses should you wish to study related topics in greater detail. 

Is there any financial advice being offered on this course?

No! HDigital is an educational and informational programme only and will not in any way offer investment advice or financial recommendations.
